There have been times when Battaash, blistering at his best, has not always been bombproof, but if there is one place he has a brilliant record it is Glorious Goodwood, and he lit up a red-hot day with another scorching display in the 2020 King George Qatar Stakes.
The King's Stand Stakes winner at Royal Ascot in June, who finished second to Godolphin’s Blue Point in 2019 and 2018, went off the favourite and won like that in the hands of Jim Crowley, defeating subsequent Breeders’ Cup heroine Glass Slippers.
The son of thoroughbred horse racing stallion Dark Angel is doted on by groom Bob Grace.
