Each horse racing season in America ends with just one finish line: the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
It’s the two-day, 14-race, year-end culmination that every thoroughbred, professional jockey, racehorse trainer and owner across the globe has in their sights.
The world’s best riders including Big Money Mike Smith, Frankie Dettori, Irad Ortiz Jr, Luis Saez, John Velazquez, Jose Ortiz, Joel Rosario and Javier Castellano among others, all come together to crown champions.
Spectators celebrate as horse racing history unfolds before their eyes, with trainers Aidan O’Brien, John Gosden, Mark Casse, Steve Asmussen, Chad Brown, Bob Baffert, Joseph O’Brien, Graham Motion, Brad Cox, Todd Pletcher, Peter Miller and Richard Mandella all fielding their champion equines.
Full of exciting events both on and off the racetrack with glamorous fashion, celebrity sightings and food by world-renowned chefs, it’s not just another day at the races.
The Breeders' Cup weekend kicks off with Future Stars Friday, comprising five races for horse racing's brightest young stars.

In 2020, the Breeders' Cup will return to the cradle of the breeding industry and the heart of the Bluegrass state at the iconic Keeneland.
In 2021, The Breeders’ Cup will return to another iconic racing venue: Del Mar, where the turf meets the surf Southern California style. With San Diego’s vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches and sunny days creating a perfect trifecta.
