The European Tour’s Race to Dubai returns to The Belfry this week for the first of nine events in the UK this year – The Betfred British Masters. Danny Willett plays host to the tournament, which returns to the Brabazon Course for the first time in 13 years. Bob MacIntyre is back on the European Tour after an encouraging stint in America, including an excellent T12 in his Masters debut. He finished 3rd in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic before crossing the Atlantic. Former world number one Martin Kaymer finished 3rd in Austria in his last event and will be looking to build on finishing tied-3rd at last year’s ISPS Handa UK Championship at The Belfry. Meanwhile, Sam Horsfield is the most in-form player on the European Tour, finishing inside the top 15 at all 4 events since returning from shoulder surgery. With local lad Andy Sullivan, Bernd Wiesberger and Thorbjorn Olesen rounding out the field, we’re all set for a thriller!
