Hamilton says he can race 5 more years:
The five-time world champion was interviewed by Letterman in his studio in the United States during the pre-season and then again at the Silverstone shakedown of the 2019 Mercedes car in February.
Since then Hamilton has gone onto win four of the first six races of this season and holds the championship lead.
Hamilton's current contract with Mercedes finishes at the end of the 2020 season, but the reigning champion has recently expressed a desire to remain with the team.
"Michael retired when he was 38. I'm 33. In my mind I can definitely do five years," said Hamilton.

Renault considers building a car dedicated to Qualifying for 2020:

Renault F1 managing director Cyril Abiteboul has said the outfit is weighing up whether concentrating on a car that is best for qualifying rather than a car which can look after its tyres in the race could be a better option.

"I think we are looking at two or three changes that are totally possible to do at this point of time, and that can dramatically change the behaviour and the competitiveness of the car next year," explained Abiteboul.

"The first is aero efficiency, and the second is how you balance qualifying and the race, because in modern F1 it is all about qualifying.

"All tracks are almost like Monaco now, and there is a different pattern of development of the car if you want to focus on qualifying or focus on the race

Porsche Built an engine for the F1 2021 regs:
"In 2017 there were signals from Formula 1 that the regulations were to be changed and that energy recovery from the exhaust gases [the MGU-H] was no longer required," he said.
"As of 2017, Porsche was a member of the FIA Manufacturers Commission and was involved in the discussions about the future drive strategy in Formula 1 from 2021 and represented at the meetings.
"On the one hand, we took part in these working groups. On the other hand, the guys developed a six-cylinder for the WEC in parallel.
Enzinger said its six-cylinder engine "is complete and running on the test bench" as a team of "20 to 25 technicians" use it "for analyses and further orders with regard to series relevance".
"The possible use for this six-cylinder engine was completely open," he said.
"If it had been decided to send Porsche 2021 to Formula 1, we would have made it the way we did in 2018.

Vettel to quit F1?:
It has also led to rumours that he’s on the verge of quitting.

According to journalist Joe Saward, Vettel could walk away at the end of this season despite being contracted to Ferrari until the end of 2020.

Vettel says that isn’t true.

“I’m not about to stop,” he told Auto Bild Motorsport.

“Formula One is still a lot of fun for me, and I still have something to do at Ferrari.”

Ferrari expects no "significant" improvements soon:
"I think we will be in a better shape compared to Barcelona, but I think they [Mercedes] have still got the best car and the strongest car at the moment.

"I think they are still the ones that should be ahead but maybe the gap will be closer. If there's any opportunity we will be ready to take it."
