François Lavoie became the second player in PBA history with two career televised 300 games in title events, defeating the first man to do it, Sean Rash. Anthony Simonsen's 258 was the second-highest score on the show, eliminating Dick Allen. Defending champion Kris Prather got a late fall of the 10-pin in the ninth frame to knock out Marshall Kent. Jakob Butturff picked up a 3-7 split but couldn't get pas Jason Belmonte, who cleaned up a washout earlier in the game.
