GOODWOOD 2020 - DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS: FANCY BLUE #ディープインパクト, MOGUL & SUPREMACY

Day 3 at Glorious Goodwood 2020 was highlighted by the performance of Fancy Blue in the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes. A daughter of Japanese champion stallion Deep Impact, Fancy Blue prevailed over One Voice under the guidance of world-class jockey Ryan Moore.

The win marked another Group 1 triumph for 22-year-old jockey-turned trainer Donnacha O'Brien.

Deep Impact's racing record:
Deep Impact is one of the most famous Japanese racehorses of all time thanks to his deeds on the racetrack and as a stallion after racing.

The son of Sunday Silence won seven Grade Ones, including the Arima Kinen, Japan Cap, Takarazuka Kinen, Tenno Sho (Spring), Kikuka Sho, Tokyo Yushun and Satsuki Sho.

Legendary Japanese jockey Yutaka Take developed a formidable partnership with Deep Impact throughout his career.

Standing at Shadai Stallion Station in Hokkaido, Deep Impact has made a name for himself as a champion sire, 47 Grade One winners.

Among those are the unbeaten Contrail, Dubai Sheema Classic winner Gentildonna, Dubai Turf hero Vivlos and 2,000 Guineas victor Saxon Warrior.

Gone but never forgotten, Deep Impact's legacy will live on for many years to come through his progeny.
