Hard CRASH After A Tire Blows At 150MPH - (Car is Destroyed)

At the 1/8th mile going over 150mph, the left rear tire blew-out sending Jimmy's "EZ Street" mustang into both walls and sliding half way down the shutdown area.
The driver Jimmy was ok and walked away from this crash thanks to his safety equipment!!

I normally save these types of clips for a compellation video at the end of each season, BUT... I feel like we need to talk about this and promote the SAFETY EQUIPMENT used in these race / "street cars".

Jimmy did a great job driving this car. He WON THE RACE and was going pretty straight. In no way was this the drivers fault. The tire blew... You can't continue to drive a car with only 3 wheels at 150mph... All he could do then was hang on for the ride into the walls.
MY POINT IS that you can be 100% perfect in a run and something like this can happen in an instant. If you don't have the proper safety equipment in your race car then you will not walk away from it like Jimmy did here. His car was built perfectly to SAFETY specs and is why he's without injury today.

I've seen SEVERAL cars at various events without the proper safety equipment in them for the times they are able to run. Improper cages, no fire suppression, no belly pans, the list goes on.
LET THIS VIDEO be a reminder to get YOUR car sorted with the proper safety equipment it needs so you may walk away from a crash too. Because EVERY RACER accepts the fact that they might crash on every pass they make. It's what they signup for every time they roll into the burnout box.
If you can't accept that danger then you shouldn't be racing.
