This week will see the first full-field event of 2023, as the PGA TOUR moves to the Sony Open in Hawaii. After a thrilling Sentry Tournament of Champions saw Jon Rahm storm to victory with a stunning 10-under-par final round, 19 players from last week’s field will be teeing it up once again. Jordan Spieth will be returning to the Sony Open for the first time since 2019, alongside 20-year-old Tom Kim, who will be looking to continue his fantastic form that saw him win the Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open in 2022. Hideki Matsuyama produced an exceptional comeback at last year’s tournament, claiming an unlikely win despite being five shots behind the leader with just nine holes to play. Other top-ranked players to look out for include Sungjae Im, Keegan Bradley and Tom Hoge, who will be looking to add to the first PGA TOUR title he won at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2022.
