Hot Rod Drag Week 2021 - Byron Dragway

Hot Rod Drag Week 2021 at Byron Dragway. Check out all the drag racing action that took place at this awesome event in Byron, Illinois on September 16th, 2021.

If you don't know, Hot Rod Drag Week is an event where drag cars prove how "Street Worthy" they are by racing and driving to 4 different race tracks with comes out to around 1,000 miles all in 5 days. They can only have a co pilot with them and they have to bring all the tools and parts they will need with them either in the car or in a specific sized trailer they can haul behind the car from track to track. They can get help from locals along the way if need be but they cannot get help from other racers when working on a car. It is an amazing event and this was the 4th track that they went to and after this they loop back to the first track that they started out at and race one more time. So it is 4 tracks but they actually race 5 days (twice at one track).

Some big dogs that you will see in this video is Bryant Goldstone in his AMC Javelin, Joe Barry in his 1956 Chevy, Mikeal Borggren in his Volvo Wagon, and Alex Taylor in her 1955 Chevy.
