Mercedes' big F1 2023 car decisions - and why it's hinting at sidepod changes

Mercedes revealed its 2023 W14 F1 car on Wednesday, and while there was lots of interesting features to talk about on the car, there wasn't a huge amount of optimism around the team.
Mercedes gave off a vibe of knowing it could still start the season behind, and even though it has retained its unique sidepod design, there were hints that this could change in the early races of the year when the first car updates are introduced.
