ABS systems in a road car are designed to save your car, or you from injury, in an emergency situation. It's meant to be smarter and better than the driver. In motorsport though, it is often removed as a race car's modified braking and suspension system is no longer optimally matched to the original road car's ABS tune and braking performance can be degraded as a result. ABS designed for motorsport is a whole different ball game though, designed to be quicker and smarter than the driver and with functions tuned for racing, reducing your lap times and making your driving more consistent..
