Japanese or Japanese-trained horses who have raced in the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe include キズナ Kizuna, Orfevre オルフェーヴル, Nakayama Festa ナカヤマフェスタ and Deep Impact ディープインパクト.

This year, Takarazuka Kinen and Arima Kinen winner Chrono Genesis クロノジェネシス and Prix Foy winner Deep Bond ディープボンド are the Japanese contenders in the race, which takes place on Sunday 3rd October.

They may face Breeders' Cup Turf winner Tarnawa (who finished second to St Mark's Basilica in the 2021 Irish Champion Stakes), Charlie Appleby's St Leger Stakes winner Hurricane Lane and Epsom Derby and King George King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Adayar (who will be ridden by William Buick), Epsom Oaks and Irish Oaks winner Snowfall, Love, and Alenquer.
