Nakayama Festa was by Stay Gold ステイゴールド and trained by Yoshitaka Ninomiya.

Other Japanese or Japanese-trained horses who have raced in the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe include キズナ Kizuna, Orfevre オルフェーヴル, El Condor Pasa エルコンドルパサー and Deep Impact ディープインパクト.

This year, Chrono Genesis クロノジェネシス and Prix Foy winner Deep Bond ディープボンド are the Japanese contenders in the race, which takes place on Sunday 3rd October.
