The Golden State Warriors closed the game on a 14-3 run to overcome a 17-point second-half deficit and defeat the Portland Trail Blazers by a final score of 114-111. Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with a game-high 37 points (11-22 FG, 4-14 3pt FG), alongside 8 rebounds and 8 assists, while Klay Thompson contributed 24 points (8-22 FG, 4-8 3pt FG) in the victory. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 23 points (6-16 FG, 5-12 3pt FG), to go with 5 rebounds and 10 assists, while C.J. McCollum totaled 22 points and 5 assists of his own in the losing effort. Additionally, the Trail Blazers set a franchise-record for made threes in an NBA Playoffs game by connecting on 18 attempts (18-39 3pt FG, 46.2%). With the win, the Warriors now hold a 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven series with Game 3 set to take place in Portland on Saturday, May 18th at 9:00pm ET on ESPN.
