Strap in for a Blistering start at Mt Smart! In 2023 on July 15th New Zealand faced South Africa at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland. The Covid pandemic had prevented any international touring with the South Africans last visiting in 2019. Both sides had won their opening games of the Rugby Championship with thumping bonus point victories. It was the first All Blacks win at home against their greatest rivals since the 57-0 thrashing at North Harbour Stadium in Albany in 2017.
