DP World Tour history is being made this week at the Investec South African Open Championship as the field take on the longest course ever played on Tour. Blair Atholl Golf & Equestrian Estate measures a colossal 8,161 yards, surpassing another South African venue in Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate - venue for the 2014 Tshwane Open - by 198 yards. Dan Bradbury admits it has been a whirlwind few days since his historic victory at the Joburg Open but he insists he is keeping the focus on his golf as he looks to go back-to-back at the Investec South African Open. The Englishman became the lowest-ranked professional to win a DP World Tour event when - from 1,397th in the Official World Ranking - he lifted the trophy at Houghton Golf Club playing on an invite in just his third event. Meanwhile, Daniel van Tonder is hoping his top three at last week's Joburg Open can be the spark for a fine run of form as he looks to defend his title at the Investec South African Open Championship. The home favourite lifted the trophy last year for his eighth Sunshine Tour victory but did not make it two on the DP World Tour as the event was not co-sanctioned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
