WHERE THE RIVALRY BEGAN: THE RETURN TEST!

It was a celebration of freedom as the Springboks hosted the All Blacks at Ellis Park, Johannesburg for the Return Test. The first time the two sides had met in 11 years, and the first time New Zealand had taken a team to South Africa since 1976, 16 years prior. The All Blacks were led by Sean Fitzpatrick and Grant Fox. With Nelson Mandela watching on from the stands this test was a truly memorable one.
