Why Sauber's 2024 Stake F1 car is so 'aggressive'

It’s a new year, officially a new name, and a self-described aggressive new car for Sauber’s F1 team for its huge rebrand, that will bridge the gap to Audi’s debut in a couple of years’ time.

The Stake F1 Team C44, to give this car its full title, has a bright new colour scheme to mark the switch from Sauber’s Alfa Romeo era to the start of this two-year Audi transition.

But the boldness goes well beyond running a bright green highlighter across a carbon base, as this car has some catching up to do in F1’s super competitive midfield, and to ensure these vital two years are not wasted for team co-owner Audi ahead of its own official 2026 entry.

There are plenty of changes we can see already that are aimed at achieving that.
