The DP World Tour heads to Japan this week for the ISPS HANDA – CHAMPIONSHIP at the Taiheiyo Club. Matthieu Pavon will be teeing it up this week. He’s been on top form this season with his most recent success being a debut T12 finish at the Masters to earn a return visit to Augusta National next year. He also finished solo fifth at the Porsche Singapore Classic in March and made history by becoming the first French winner on the PGA TOUR since 1907 in January by winning the Farmers Insurance Open. Jesper Svensson will be in the field this week. He claimed victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic last month and claimed a 2nd place finish at the Bahrain Championship in February. Svensson is just one spot behind leader Keita Nakajima on the Asian Swing and can guarantee a place in the field at the Genesis Scottish Open with a strong performance. A home favourite Rikuya Hoshino will also fancy his chances at the Taiheiyo Club this week. He claimed victory at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in February and finished runner-up here two years ago. Others to look out for are Yannik Paul, Dylan Frittelli and Ewen Ferguson.
