What A Beautiful Day for a Drag Race, on this Memorial Weekend at Great Lakes Dragaway. In this jam packed video of quarter mile action there is Muscle Cars, Vintage Drag Racing Cars, Jet Cars, Wheelstanders, and the Chicago Wise Guys Racing Group. This was a great day or racing and I had a lot of fun filming it.
2 things of interest that happened in this video is during the Chicago Wise Guys runs there is a colorful late model Camaro that gets out of control during the launch and fish tails towards the wall. And a Green 1967 Mercury Cougar has a violent tire shake right off the line and one of his two parachutes deploys right away and the speed and time this guy runs with the chute out is just amazing.
