Abi Burton's rugby career got off to a flying start, becoming a regular fixture for England squad on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and an Olympian for Team GB by the age of 21. A bout with ill health and misdiagnosis of Autoimmune encephalitis saw Abi's entire life take a crashing turn for the worse. But after intensive treatment and three weeks in a coma, Abi is back training with the GB squad with her sights set on returning to the Sevens Series and Paris 2024.
