Dan Bradbury, playing in just his third DP World Tour Event, on a sponsors invite, wins the the 2022 Joburg Open

Thriston Lawrence returns to the Joburg Open to defend the title he won at the event last year. The South African finished four shots clear of compatriot Zander Lombard to claim his first ever win at the DP World Tour’s inaugural event. Lawrence backed up his victory with a second win of the season at the Omega European Masters as well as a top 50 finish at The Open Championship – his first ever major. As a co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour, the Joburg Open will see over 80 South African players tee it up at Houghton Golf Course to the north of Johannesburg. Yet the event will also see a host of international players take to the course, including Englishman Nathan Kimey who will be looking to continue his good momentum after winning the Challenge Tour’s Road to Mallorca rankings.
