Ansgar Knauff and Steffen Tigges were the match-winners in Borussia Dortmund's 2-0 victory over FC Gießen in their first friendly match ahead of the 2021/22 season. As well as experienced regulars like Marco Reus and Julian Brandt, new BVB coach Marco Rose relied primarily on young players and brought on some promising talents in the second half.
