FC Barcelona will face Borussia Dortmund, Internazionale and Slavia Prague in the 2019/20 Champions League group stage in following to the draw which took place in Monaco this Thursday.
The Italian club were top of a list of preferences chosen by Barça fans on the club's official website and their wish has come true in the draw which places Barça in Group F against the German, Italian and Czech clubs.
Details of the group fixtures will be released shortly with Match Day 1 to come on 17/18 September and the final Match Day, number 6, to come on 10/11 December. The top two teams from Group F will then go on to compete in the last 16 of the competition in February 2020.
New opponents and old friends
Barça and Slavia Prague have never met before in official competition so history will be made when the blaugranes take on the Czech club who eliminated Romanian side Cluj in the qualifying round.
Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund met Barça in the 1998 UEFA Super Cup final that ended in victory for the blaugranes but the two teams have never crossed paths before in the Champions League.
In contrast it will be the third time that FC Barcelona face Inter Milan in the group stage of the competition. The most recent meetings between the two clubs came last season when Barça claimed a 2-0 win at Camp Nou before taking a point in a 1-1 draw at the Guiseppe Meazza stadium.
Full group stage draw
