DAYLAMI: MOST UNDERRATED BREEDERS' CUP AND ASCOT WINNER?

A superior middle-distance racehorse, Daylami won seven Group 1 races across the world, including the Breeders' Cup Turf (Gulfstream Park), Irish Champion Stakes (Leopardstown), King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes (Ascot), Coronation Cup (Epsom Downs Racecourse), Man O' War Stakes (Belmont Park), Coral-Eclipse Stakes (Sandown Park Racecourse) and Dubai Poule d'Essai des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) (ParisLongchamp Racecourse).

The gorgeous son of Doyoun also competed in Group 1 contests such as the Dubai World Cup, Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, St James's Palace Stakes and the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes again in 1998, Tattersalls Gold Cup, Prix du Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard-Jacques Le Marois, Criterium De Saint-Cloud, Dubai Champion Stakes and the Emirates Prix du Moulin de Longchamp.

He was partnered by legendary jockey Frankie Dettori in five of his Group 1 wins. Jerry Bailey and Gerald Mosse had the privilege of riding Daylami on the other two occasions.

Initially trained by Alain de Royer-Dupré in France, Daylami transitioned to Godolphin under the care of Saeed Bin Suroor.
