The Baseball Bat Bros try out the first released 2021 BBCOR bat - the Select LTD -3 from Louisville Slugger.
The 2021 Select LTD is a spinoff of the Select Pwr - but this is a slightly lighter swinging version with a bit more flex in the handle.
This bat seems to indeed swing a little bit lighter than the Select Pwr (still decently heavy swinging though) but it definitely has less pop behind it than the Select Pwr (makes sense).
We were on a tiny field today, but we were met with fast winds blowing straight in. Not the ideal filming conditions, but we gotta get what footage we can during quarantine time.
Louisville Slugger Select LTD:
-Moderate Endload - comparable to the Cat8
-Composite Handle
-Alloy Barrel
-Composite end cap
-Looks to be a repaint job of the 719 Select
-Moderate sweet spot
-Pretty stiff handle
-Really odd sound pattern - more of a crack on balls toward the end of the bat and more of a ping on balls closer in on the hands.
-Good grip
-$400 - overpriced for an alloy barrel in our opinion - $100 more than some 2-piece hybrid bats.
