Honda reveals ‘multiple’ F1 team options for after Red Bull split

Honda has broken its silence over a potential new Formula 1 engine project in 2026 and finally discussed publicly what it might do after it splits with Red Bull.

The Japanese manufacturer’s current F1 partnership will end after 2025 as Red Bull will join forces with Ford to build its first in-house F1 engine.

We started exploring what this meant for Honda in a previous video in which we revealed there had been initial talks with McLaren over a surprise reunion, which you can watch here if you haven’t seen it already.

And now we’ve finally heard from Honda itself, as we were part of a media briefing with top personnel from the racing division in Japan - so let’s get into what we learned.
