Belgium is one of Europe’s smallest and most densely populated nations, but it’s made its name in racing - with a mega track: Spa-Francorchamps, and 24 F1 drivers, for ninth on the all-time list.
The first was British-born Johnny Claes, who competed in 23 Grands Prix for Belgium from 1950 to 1955, with his best result seventh - scored twice in his striking Ecurie Belge Talbot-Lago, including at Spa in 1951. Watch the video, and tell us what you think in the comments…
