Despite going ahead with a Marcos Llorente goal and the opposition going down to ten men, Atletico needed a last minute goal by Luis Suarez to secure all three points. Atletico now sit top of La Liga, two points clear of rivals Real Madrid and a huge ten points above Barcelona. Laurens admits he was wrong about the decision to sign Suarez from Barca, saying he believed Suarez's injury issues would stop him making a big impact at Atletico. Suarez currently sits top of the La Liga top goal scorers despite contracting coronavirus back in November.
