The X Games has always been about innovation in sports. At this year’s games, we’re testing a new AI experiment, “The Owl AI,” built on Google Cloud. The Owl will bring viewers an all-new POV on the Superpipe — predicting winners, summarizing runs and testing its ability to score athletes (taking into account things like amplitude, difficulty, technicality, and more). We’re excited about how this technology could be further developed to bring the X Games closer to fans with things like live translation, coaching and training, and more.
