Virgil van Dijk picked up a potentially season-ending injury under a challenge from Jordan Pickford in Liverpool’s 2-2 Merseyside derby draw with Everton, and ESPN FC’s Julien Laurens isn’t happy about it.

He tells Gab Marcotti and Don Hutchison that he’d like to see the Everton goalkeeper banned for as long as Van Dijk is out injured, calling Pickford’s lack of punishment “as disgraceful” as the challenge itself. The guys also discuss whether the lack of a red card for Pickford was a failure on the part of VAR, and how Jurgen Klopp might line Liverpool up without their star defender.
