Quarterback Matt McGloin and the New York Guardians had a rough first half against the DC Defenders, prompting McGloin to say at halftime that the team's entire offensive game plan needed to change. Guardians head coach Kevin Gilbride responded by saying McGloin needed to play better. On New York's next drive, McGloin threw a pick-six. At the end of the game, McGloin again voiced his frustrations as the Guardians lost to the Defenders 27-0.
