McLaren slams Autocar report on Audi buyout as "wholly inaccurate"

McLaren dominated headlines last week with the British marque forced to squash rumours it had been taken over by luxury automotive giant Audi, following a report by British publication Autocar.

The report, citing a source close to the deal, stated Audi had bought the entire McLaren Group, comprising its racing and supercar manufacturing arms, cementing the brand’s financial future.
