James Harden recorded his 32nd consecutive 30-point game with 30 points (11-24 FG), 5 rebounds and 6 assists as the Rockets were defeated by the Lakers at Staples Center by a final score of 111-106. Harden has now broken a tie with Wilt Chamberlain for the 2nd-longest streak of consecutive 30-point games in NBA history. Chamberlain also holds the longest such streak – 65 games. LeBron James led the Lakers with 29 points (16 in the 2nd half), to go with 11 rebounds and 6 assists, while Brandon Ingram added 27 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. With the win, the Lakers improve to 29-29, while the Rockets fall to 33-25 on the season.
