ROLL DRAGS - TEXAS STYLE ???????? is coming to Sydney Dragway on the Friday night of May 24th, from 6pm-10pm, and is set to take the sport of roll racing to the next level.
Competition will be fiercer, fairer and faster, but still open to any car of any performance level to have fun. There will be also fireworks, DJ, grudge matches and the pits is filled to the brim with cars, traders and workshops for GT-R Festival.
???? Fully Prepped Track - Safer for high HP cars and better traction for 2WDs
???? Long run up from before tunnel - Help make for even starts
???? Higher start speed - 70-90km/h start speed for better traction
???? Qualifying into multiple categories for even competition
???? Longer distance - Approx 350m
???? Warm-up burnouts for top brackets
???? Over $3000 in prize money thanks to Mack Civil Engineering @m.a.c.k.34 and Street20
There will be Elite 8, Quick 16 and Street 32 classes based of MPH in qualifying. This means you only race against cars of similar performance and less rounds for high powered cars to do back to back.
Event is open to all full bodied cars on a drag radials and can run on methanol, ethanol or petrol fuel. Side peipes are permitted. Teched cars are to run with full safety equipment as per normal drag racing event.
This means you can expect some 6 second, 200+mph Pro Street Cars to hit the track! The categories means you race similar cars.
12pm - Gates open to Roll Drags and GT-R Festival competitors
4pm - 6pm - Scrutineering
6pm - Gates open to spectators
6pm - 9pm - Practice/Qualifying
9pm - Fireworks Show
9pm -10pm - Eliminations
10pm - Trophy Presentation
10pm-11pm - DJ playing anf pits open
