Legendary Spurs guard Tony Parker tells Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated that he is retiring from basketball after 18 seasons. Parker says playing his final season with the Charlotte Hornets was a great experience, but is at peace with retiring now. The four-time NBA champion also confirms that he spoke with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Hornets owner Michael Jordan prior to his retirement announcement. Parker hopes his jersey retirement in San Antonio will be a special night to celebrate the Spurs Big 3 with Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan one last time.
