In the opening round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Steve Stricker fired a 6-under 65 on Thursday and trails the lead by two shots.

Two-time FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy and defending champion Webb Simpson lead a star-studded field seeking some valuable early-season FedExCup points at TPC Scottsdale in this year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open.
