After not qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, France men's 7s and Antoine Dupont managed to win gold at Paris 2024. The Report this week sees Ireland legend Harry McNulty examine how France went from underdogs to Olympic gods inside three years.

Harry sits down with then French Head Coach Jerome Daret, commentator Rupert Cox, sports psychologist Stephen McIvor and former All Blacks 7s captain Karl Te Nana to talk about what changed things for France.

As well as the talent of Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang, experience of Stephen Parez and power of Jordan Sepho, Harry finds out how they were able to tempt 15s superstar, 3-times 6 Nations player of the year and France and Toulouse captain Antoine Dupont to the HSBC SVNS Series and 7s programme.

They also discuss the genius of only bringing Dupont on at half-time and how he changed that Olympic final.
