The Belfry Brabazon Course has hosted The Ryder Cup on four occasions, more than any other golf course in Ryder Cup history. Some of the most famous Ryder Cup moments have occurred at The Belfry, from Seve Ballesteros driving the iconic 10th hole in 1985, to Christy O'Connor's famous 2 iron into the 18th to beat Fred Couples in 1989, and most recently Paul McGinley's winning putt and subsequent swan dive into the lake in the final hole in 2002; The Belfry is a special place for Team Europe in The Ryder Cup.
