ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens try to explain Manchester United's shocking 2-1 loss to Istanbul Basaksehir in this week's The Gab and Juls Show. UEFA Champions League football returned as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Man United tried to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League. However, former Chelsea striker Demba Ba was able to strike early as United's defence seemingly disappeared. Both Marcotti and Laurens ask how a striker can be left unmarked, with Nemanja Matic unable to catch Ba. Marcotti questions why the faster Luke Shaw or Aaron Wan-Bissaka were not left back to mark Demba Ba, whilst also giving three possible explanations for the mistake, all of which reflect badly on United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
