Thrustmaster has unveiled a sim racing replica of the 2020 Ferrari Formula 1 steering wheel.
The Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition has a 100% carbon fibre faceplate, textured rubber grip, more than 20 buttons and switches and a 4.3-inch dash with LCD display.
Live telemetry - including up to 69 items of information can be displayed on the screen, including crucial data like tyre temperature and wear, fuel usage and lap time delta - is available on the dash through what Thrustmaster calls “native integration of the screen in the game” on PC and the PlayStation 4 and 5 models.
Wireless telemetry connectivity is available for Xbox users by configuring the wheel using the Thrustmaster TM Connect Web platform.
The fully-licensed wheel has been designed in cooperation with Ferrari and will be compatible with Thrustmaster’s T series base, initially launched in Europe with just 1000 available units at a suggested retail price of £329.99 (€349.99/$349.99).
It will be launched later in Asia (May 18) and North America (August 26).
There is also the option of buying 100% aluminium ‘T-Chrono’ paddle attachments (£54.99/€59.99/$69.99), which have a bounce time of less than 5 milliseconds.
