The DP World Tour heads to Scotland this week as St Andrews' Old Course plays host to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Matt Fitzpatrick returns to defend his title. This year, the 2022 U.S. Open champion bids to become just the second player – after countryman Tyrrell Hatton – to win the title in back-to-back years. The Englishman has claimed three top tens this season, with all coming on the PGA TOUR. Fitzpatrick managed a 5T finish at THE PLAYERS Championship, 5T at the Memorial and 10T finish at the Valerio Texas Open. Rory McIlroy will also be in the field this week. Since finishing third on his debut in this event as a teenager in 2007, McIlroy has recorded five further top tens. The Northern Irishman has made two victories on the PGA TOUR this year and except for his missed cut in The 152nd Open in July, he’s made the cut in all nine of his other starts on the DP World Tour this season. Tommy Fleetwood will also be in Scotland this week. A winner at the start of the year in the Dubai Invitational, Fleetwood has since enjoyed six top tens worldwide, including a 2nd place finish at the Olympics. The Englishman is a two-time runner-up in this event. Others to look out for are Robert MacIntyre, Jon Rahm, Shane Lowry and Billy Horschel.
