Formula 1’s second pre-season test kicks off in Bahrain on Thursday and offers the 10 teams their final opportunity to fettle their cars ahead of the first race of the season.

Although the test starts after a gap of just 12 days since Barcelona, every team will have some new parts and there’s a possibility that we will see some big changes to some of the cars.

But will these changes be profound enough to be considered a b-spec, or even perhaps a new car?

With a rapid rate of improvement expected from these brand new cars, the Bahrain test will be the first step in a development war that will rage throughout the season.
