YONEX ASTROX 88D pro - Review. This racket is so close to be my top pick for the season. It's a double racket but feels great in single aswell. Amazing feel and technology that really give you an edge on the court. Really astonished by the way it feels when attacking great power and the racket feels very fast.

Based on a new carbon generation (5G) after 7 years of Japanese research as well as new weight distribution for improved power/control, the Yonex Astrox 88D and 88S racquets are the worthy successors of the Arc Sabers.
The racquet is very versatile with a slightly weighted head and a rigid stiffness for standard weight

The Astrox 88D Pro is oriented towards a game of backcourt control to dominate the opponent with powerful attacks.

The 88D will improve your game with its perfect balance between power and manoeuvrability, and its elongated racquet length (extra 5 mm) in order to master you at net attacks for 3% more hitting power than with a conventional racquet.

Thanks to the new shaft and the racquet's new shape (the Namd),you will have more power on your smash and more control on your slower shots. Namd significantly improves the grip of carbon fibres and resin. Thus, flexibility is increased on smashes where racquet speed is very important. This gives more explosivity and acceleration when making your shots. Conversely, racquet speed is slower for drives. The new grip provides more control and an accelerated racquet head.
