150 players - 81 men and 69 women - from 89 countries participate in the 47th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup from Nov. 30 to Dec. 7, 2011 at Northcliff Bowling Center in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Opening Ceremonies was held in the 'World of Beer' and featured Zulu dancers before all the bowlers marched in. The center, situated in the heart of the Johannesburg Newtown Cultural Precinct, reveals the history of beer. It was opened by former President Nelson Mandela more than 16 years ago, on May 15, 1995.
