The 47th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup got underway on Wednesday morning, Nov. 30, 2011 with the men's and women's official practice at Northcliff Bowling Center in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is the second time after 1993 that South Africa hosts the BWC. Northcliff Bowling Center, which belongs to the chain of Let's Go Bowling South Africa, is 24-laner with QubicaAMF equipment. 150 players - 81 men and 69 women - from 82 countries bowl in separate divisions each split into two squads for the 20-game preliminaries.
