Anthony Simonsen broke the record by nearly three and a half years earlier this season with a win in the USBC Masters at age 25. Pete Weber was 28 when he won the 1991 U.S. Open for his fourth major, taking the record at the time from Mike Aulby, who won the 1989 ABC Masters at age 29, approximately eight months younger than Del Ballard Jr. was when he won the 1993 U.S. Open. Jason Belmonte was 30 when he won the 2014 USBC Masters.
