Bellerive Oval first hosted formal cricket matches in 1914, but it wasn’t until 1987 that Cricket Tasmania made the venue their permanent home. The oval has been upgraded significantly over the years with the Ricky Ponting Stand opening in 2015 for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, boosting ground capacity to 20,000.
Bellerive Oval will come to life when it hosts the ICC Men's T20 World Cup for the first time from Monday 17 October - Monday 24 October.
Hobart will host 6 Opening Round and 3 Super 12 matches featuring Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe across 3 huge days of T20 cricket.
