MELBOURNE CUP WINNER'S CHEEKY PERSONALITY IN RETIREMENT

Cross Counter won the 2018 Melbourne Cup for Charlie Appleby and Kerrin McEvoy. Now retired at Godolphin rehoming, he is already showing those around him his cheeky personality and striking up a bromance with his paddock companion. He's even been reunited with a familiar face from his pre-training!

This year's Melbourne Cup takes place on the 2nd November at Flemington Racecourse, where Incentivise and Verry Elleegant will meet European contenders Spanish Mission and reigning champion Twilight Payment. The Melbourne Cup Carnival then continues with Oaks Day and Stakes Day. Derby Day took place on October 30th and saw the Penfolds Victoria Derby won by Hitotsu for Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

Other Melbourne Cup winners include Vow And Declare, Prince of Penzance, Dunaden, Americain, Makybe Diva, Viewed, Efficient and Might and Power.
