EMOTIONAL CHRIS WALLER ON MELBOURNE CUP WINNER VERRY ELLEEGANT

Trainer Chris Waller and jockey James McDonald speak the morning after their fantastic Melbourne Cup victory with Verry Elleegant.

The superstar mare held off the field at Flemington which included Incentivise, Spanish Mission, Twilight Payment and Grand Promenade to win the race that stops the nation.

Previous Melbourne Cup winners include Vow And Declare, Prince of Penzance, Dunaden, Americain, Makybe Diva, Viewed, Cross Counter, Efficient and Might and Power.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival continues with Oaks Day on November 4th and Stakes Day on November 6th.
